Why does Robinhood warn me about day trading when my account is not a margin account?

Title says all. Not even enrolled in Gold. IIRC pattern day trader regulation only applies to margin account.
Edit: Not that I'm trying to earn money day trading. I'm just worried if RH will lock my account if I make a mistake.

Is Robinhood trading on margin for you when you think you're a cash account? You're wrong.

News for you: if you're selling options in any way, including the use of spreads, you're not in a cash account. Spreads must use a margin account. Edit: except selling covered calls, which can be done in a cash account because you own the underlying stock. Selling naked calls not in a spread is as bad or worse than short selling - don't do it.
"But I didn't turn on margin!"
Well, no, but you're still in a margin account. All Robinhood account are margin accounts when you sign up. That instant buying power and instant deposits features? Yeah, that's margin.
All deposits and trades take at least two days to settle. So if you deposit money or sell options or equities, you have to wait two days for the money to be available to trade. Robinhood gets around that by automatically signing you up for margin so you don't have to wait. You just don't have the 2x or 4x buying power until you "apply for margin."
If you truly don't want margin, you have to email support to turn it off. This will take away your ability to do options spreads and sell options.

Margin Trading with Robinhood?

I am very skeptical about putting down any cash that is not inherently my own. Has anyone had any experience trading margin with Robinhood? As a gold member, I was offered $1k of margin. I thought maybe if the next UAVS pops up, I could throw down a larger amount than usual.
Then again, that creates the possibility of a larger loss as well. My thought process thus far is to become a more experienced trader over time before I even consider this.
Also- thank you pennystocks for all you do and for teaching me valuable lessons thus far.

RobinHood Gold Margin Trading

Has anyone used this to throw down big on a day trade with all $5,000 limit, and then sell that same day if it goes up nicely, or hold several months until it does? Could I just hold the margin loan for years without having to pay it back? Never selling the stock if it tanks?

Opened a Schwab account in light of the Robinhood shitshow this week. Declined both Options and Margin trading. Schwab still did a hard credit inquiry on my account. Is this normal?

Seems extreme to put a hard inquiry on my credit history just for opening a very basic brokerage account where I'll be holding market and industry ETFs.

Robinhood claiming I made a margin trade even though I've never turned on that function

Robinhood is saying my account is negative due to a margin trade even though I've never used or turned on that function.
Has this ever happened to anyone?

So I’m getting a lot more confident in my trading and I really want to say trade but I don’t have 25k. With a Robinhood Gold account would you be able to have 12.5K in Cash and 12.5K in Margin to meet the minimum? Or does it all have to be your own cash and securities?

[Question] transferring assets (some on margin) from Robinhood to E-Trade. Issues?

E-Trade offering me 2.25% instead of Robinhood's 5%. Is this standard practice stuff? Should I expect any issues transferring assets on margin? The guy I'm working with at E-Trade doesn't think so. Thanks

Is it true Robinhood pretends your cryptos are like stocks with a 2 day+ processing time for orders, so you'd get in trouble with margins and can't actually day trade your full balance?

Are we even truly trading cryptos on Robinhood?

Robinhood App - Margin Trading

Recently learnt about the Robinhood app, and how its valued at $1.3 billion now. Since it's free to trade stocks (almost) and their main source of income is from people using the margin available to them to trade, how many of you guys actually borrow to trade stocks? And what kind of interest do they charge?

What is Robinhood Instant versus Margin trading?

I've seen some posts by people who have gotten Robinhood Instant already. I've also seen that Robinhood said their Instant accounts won't be related to margin trading.
I've also seen that some people seem to have Robinhood margin accounts, as evidenced by the Pattern Day Trading freeze some people got hit with.
Can someone explain the difference, or if these are connected? Are you people with margin accounts also using Robinhood Instant? Or are they two different things? Or is it a third option? I'm a bit confused about all of these new Robinhood developments.

Robinhood Day Trade 25K (with margin) rule

Robinhood Day Trade 25K (with margin) rule
I just ended today with my `Total Market Value` at $26,596.83. Assuming that this stays above $25,000 until tomorrow (Tuesday, October 9) 9:30AM, does this mean I can now day trade (up to my day trade limit)? If I get the "Day Trade Warning Notice", should I just ignore this?
All my deposits have finished being processed and I'm using ~$11.9K worth of Gold, does this apply to my day trade 25K condition?

Can one trade double or triple-leveraged ETFs using Robinhood Gold's margin buying power?

I know Robinhood Gold is limited to stocks over $3 and not newly IPO'd stocks.
But would something like FAS or SOXL be able to be bought using Gold's margin?

"Robinhood charges interest for margin trading and collects interest on cash balances."

I can understand charging interest on margin but why is robinhood collecting interest on my cash balances? Does this surprise anyone else? And does anyone know how much interest they are collecting?
